Beach FC finished second in the race for the overall CCL Club Champion title with 189 points, just two points shy of Loudoun’s 191.
Beach FC won the ‘Peggy Borgard Overall Girls Champion’ trophy, newly named after the longtime VCCL, CCL and FC Richmond lead administrator and volunteer. Beach FC girls teams went a combined 82-19-19, racking up 98 Championship Club Points while the club’s boys teams finished fourth with a 58-41-21 record and 81 points.
"With the game of soccer constantly changing, this success is a major accomplishment with regard to the development, adaptation, and improvement of our players," said Karl Greaves, Girls Director of Coaching for Beach FC. "This is not an easy Championship to win, and the club would like to congratulate our players and coach who have worked so hard over the course of the season. We would also like acknowledge a special thanks to the parents and families of our players, who contributed a tremendous amount of support on a weekly basis.”
