Tryout Procedures:
All players are expected to attend all scheduled tryout dates for their age group.
All players are strongly encouraged to pre-register for tryouts online at www.beachfc.com. If you would like to pay by credit card, you may do so online at the time you fill out the registration. If paying by cash or check, please bring the $5 tryout fee to the Beach FC Office prior to tryouts.
The coaches selected to head the teams in an age group will have control of the player selections for their teams. The head coaches will base their decisions not only on two tryout sessions but will also factor in input from their previous head coach (if a coaching change has taken place) and the Directors. Additional coaches will serve as evaluators to assist the team coaches. While no evaluation system is perfect, Beach FC believes that this is the best way to objectively select players for Beach FC teams.
Beach FC intends to sponsor at least two teams in every age group, provided the pool of players supports it. Each Beach FC team is assigned a highly qualified coach and has access to specialized coaching sessions (team training, technical training, goalkeeper training). Beach FC teams play in the most competitive leagues available, participate in Beach FC tournaments (Sun Cup, Columbus Day, and Spring Classic) and have the full support of the entire Beach FC Club.
At the conclusion of each age group’s tryout period, individuals selected to Beach FC teams will have their identification information posted on www.beachfc.com, and will be contacted by a Coach or Director. All players selected for Beach FC teams will need to go online to complete a player registration profile. At that time, the required $250 deposit can be paid via credit card online, or brought to the Beach FC Office, located at the corner of Dam Neck Road and Holland Road. Failure to pay the required deposit will result in the player being removed from the team unless prior arrangements have been made with the Beach FC Office.
